We are one of the area's leading cosmetology and barbering schools, with an emphasis on the latest styling and barbering techniques, salon business management, and client relationships. With over 25 years of experience, Jazz prides itself on our excellence in instruction and student support.
The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has certified this school to operate in Virginia.
Jazz Barber & Hairstyling Academy has obtained accreditation through the National Accrediting Commission for Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS).
Cosmetology
The Cosmetology Course offered at Jazz is a comprehensive study of the science of hair care and beauty. Our students become fluent in the knowledge of client consultation and client services, including but not limited to hair design, hair cutting, chemical services, facials, nails, and makeup. We ensure our students have a thorough knowledge of sanitation and State Board requirements.
Barbering
The Barbering course offered at Jazz is a comprehensive study of the science of hair care and men's services. Our students become fluent in the knowledge of client consultation and client services, including, but not limited to, hair cutting and trimming, shaving, and mustache and beard care. We ensure our students have a thorough understanding of sanitation procedures and State Board requirements.
Jazz Insight Dynamics
Focusing on the results of an online assessment, Jazz focuses on the strengths of our students and uses a positive methodology approach in our instruction. Jazz Insight Dynamics has a proven track record that students working within their natural strengths are more productive and motivated in their chosen course of study.
